Girls On Film Podcast
Girls On Film is the world's leading podcast about women in film, co-founded by acclaimed film critic and host Anna Smith, and exec producer Hedda Lornie Archbold.
Girls On Film isn't just a podcast, it's a community. Our listeners come together to create long-standing professional connections and fruitful friendships, at our live events, special screenings and Q&As.
Women make up half of the population, but that isn't reflected in the gender balance we see in the screen industries. Girls On Film’s mission is to work towards equity in all areas of the screen industries, to reflect our diverse world. We do this because we know from experience that representation matters and that “if she can see it, she can be it”.
We created the Girls On Film podcast and community to bring together critics, actors, directors and activists to celebrate and champion the great work made by women and people of minority genders. We are proud to have created an encouraging, inclusive, diverse space for all, to share their thoughts about gender in film, and to connect about their work and their experiences.
Over the past seven years we have produced over 190 episodes and fostered a community of listeners, who often say we've changed the way they think about film.
Girls On Film regularly features in The Guardian, Metro,Deadline Hollywood, Sky News, BBC1, and more.
